Unable to connect to server error

I know this topic has been covered before, but there has not been a complete fix. I just received 5 leaverbuster bans because of it and that really upsets me. After champ select, a black screen appeared instead of champ select followed shortly by a dialogue with the typical text "Unable to connect to servers" and then something about checking connection and trying again. This has only happened today, and this hasn't happened to me for a while. I've tried hard killing league in task manager and restarting league to no avail.

yea man same shit is happening to me i have internet but still cant connect i think it might be because i haven't updated to the new client

Same thing happened to me, restarted the client 10+ times and even restarted my computer, only league cant find the internet. Q_Q... when the game finished the score board showed that only 3 out of 10 were able to connect, Fix Yo' Toasters Riot!

I've been getting this a lot since the new client update, but usually it goes away and I can play hassle free. Today it's not going away and I've already received a leaverbuster warning. I tried the legacy client but it did it there, too. Today's different.

I started having this exact issue this morning. I have not been able to connect. It always happens after champ select before the actual game starts. Research reveals no solution so far.
