The issue occurs after I accepted the game and it shows up as the black screen shown above and does not let me pick or click anything and I get kicked out because I did not pick anything WTF I GOT KICKED TWICE AND NOW I HAVE WAIT TIMER AND IT KEEPS GOING UP EVERY TIME. so plz fix this and revert the timers because of this bug
Had a free win in my gold 4 series, got black screened twice in a row, killed my series and saddled me with a nasty LP loss and a 30 minute dodge timer to boot.
When this kind of thing gets reported (and is reasonably verified by other players as something that occurs frequently), ranked queues should immediately be disabled so that players aren't punished for Riot's mistakes.
Same thing happened to me as well. I lost like 15 LP or something cuz it happened twice and i got a first 5 min penalty then a 27 min penalty. :( Can i have my LP back lol? It is fixed now though
Keeps happening to me too. Champselect is Black for about 15 seconds. I usually get in... but I miss at laeast the first ban or two.

Same happened to me. as soon as i accepted the afk check. black screen nothing to click but exit minimize and settings. tried switching window sizes, display modes, low spec mode, nothing got the client to attempt a refresh to give me input. This was during a ranked queue so thats a loss against me and a queue timer, just as tho i had dodged. I will enable a debug terminal so i can post the output if the problem presents itself. also, FIX THE GODDDAMN REPORT A BUG BUTTON. that will make this all so much easier. Also none of the links in the home page work except the featured skins/champs buttons
Yup, I had the same problem, so I now have a 30 minute timer. Super annoying.

I've also experienced this. Played one game on the newest patch without issues. Next game I went into showed a black screen when entering draft. I got penalized for dodging and the screen immediately went back to normal when I was kicked back to queue.

It is happening to me. It is annoying. I hope riot can fix it soon. i reported the issue a few times already. I have lost almost 30 lp why im trying to climb in rank. This is very sad.
happened with me twice i can't join the game after accepting a quoe in addtion i gat a punshmient.. riot i'm a customer and gamer that spent money and time at ur shite client and like me there are alot ,at least we deserve working client...
Exact same issue, it's been EVERY game since the patch! I've been lucky enough to not get put on banning first ever, but I have joined with 2 seconds left to ban! Please do something about the black screen, or at the VERY least pause the damn wait timer since so many are getting screwed over!

Yep. I get in every game like 20 seconds* late on champion select. I'm only playing ARAMs atm, but this is a crucial issue that needs to be fixed ASAP for ranked queues.
this bug is present only in new client , I try with old client no problem !
naaah no time to fix up bugs :) better create new skins and things that make money...

Happened to me. However Riot is going to blame you. Tell you it's your fault. Tell you you deserve leave buster. Then in a future patch note will admit its their fault and wont have the basic decency to apologize to the community. Want proof. Look at patch 7.1 notes. They admit the issue previously was their fault. Did they apologize? Nope.
Hi Riot - this same thing happened to me. Let me say that this is UNACCEPTABLE. I have spent a lot of money with your game. I am an upset customer. You need to fix this for me. Your game turns a profit - so i expect some of repayment for my losses.
You have to understand that people including myself invest a lot time into this game, and when you get punished by bugs or incompetent QA and testing teams, it really hurts.
I hope you understand that this really sets people back and I hope you make it right for everyone.
The problem: During champion select I got a black screen and couldn't interact with the client although I could still hear the sounds. I was last to lock and first to pick. I missed banning and i heard the count down timer for the last seconds to lock your champion. I heard it expire then I get queue dodge penalty. This is the bug: Black screen during champ select (can't interact with) but can hear sounds. The top bar with the minimize ? cog and close symbol is still present.
+! For vision. This sucks. You can get into a game, but it's impossible to not only call the remaining role, but to get your summs/rune/masteries in time.

This just also happened to me could hear the client but unable to interact just darkness followed by crushing lp lose
I have been working with Riot support since Tuesday with this issue. I did not change anything. It worked one day, woke up to play the next day same issue. They seem they have no idea. Mine goes black right AFTER we select champions - sometimes i get through and it goes black after the game ends. Either way it requires a hard reboot. also almost every time i open league i get a bug splat. I have tried... Hextech Repair Tool Network update Updated Drivers Full Repair Clean my IPS Cache Uninstalling all other programs Running Legacy Running as Admin Memory Check Disk Check Full uninstall and Reinstall Using a different GPU I highly doubt its my computer since it is dedicated to LoL and I changed nothing on my end and using a hardware monitor everything is as it should be. Sometimes i get lucky. But over all I have about 6-7 leaves due to it so a lot of lost games and lost IP...for something not my fault... i could just stop playing but like i said sometimes all of a sudden it works (still requires a reboot after each game).
