So I'm chasing Morgana and another member of the enemy team while playing Malphite. I decide not to ult until morgana fires Dark Binding as I will be "Immune to crowd control". As Morgana fires Dark binding I ult and end up stopped half way through the cast with my ult on cooldown. I'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen!
This would definitely be a bug.
Not only should Malphite be unstoppable while using his ultimate, but Morgana's Dark Binding also shouldn't stop dashes altogether. If I'm not mistaken, the Malphite ultimate should go its full distance, and be rooted at the end of it for the remaining duration.
At the very least I am impressed that you can ult on reaction to Morgana's Dark Binding.
Are you sure you didn't misclick, and go a shorter distance than you intended? Its entirely possible you fired your ult short, Morg launched her Q and hit you, your ult finished, and you took the remaining root time.
As someone who plays Morganna 99% of my time right now, this is incorrect. Hitting someone during a dash with Morg's Q makes them stop after they have traveled the distance of their dash.
