[Gameplay] Guinsoo's Rageblade - Attack Speed Stacks Are Bonus Attack Speed

Villius·3/21/2018, 8:25:25 AM·6 votes·888 views

In the 8.6 patch Guinsoo's Rageblade received changes and in the patch notes one of the listed changes was the bonus attack speed granted per stack now being total attack speed. However while testing out changes in Practice Tool the attack speed seems to be being calculated the exact same as bonus attack speed.

This is on the Oceanic Server and the champions tested in Practice Tool were a level 18 Master Yi with Lethal Tempo, Precision: Alacrity (with max stacks) and Sorcery as the secondary path and various amounts of attack speed with a Guinsoo's Rageblade as well as a level 1 Draven with Glacial Augment with Sorcery as the secondary path with only a Guinsoo's Rageblade.

Sorry for the poorly made post and for no screenshots / videos. I'll try to edit this post later tonight with more information if it's needed as I'm unsure if the change from bonus attack speed to total attack speed was intended or not.

So, we see in this clip he has 2.61 attack speed at level 12.

Base AS: 0.679

Bonus AS: AS per level: 19.7% Rageblade: 25% Bloodrazor: 50% Precision: 9% Alacrity: 18% Highlander : 55% Lethal Tempo: 59.4% (It procced at level 11, so it only has level 11 stats, pls fix that Rito!)

Total AS: Ragebalde: 48%

Math: Base AS * (1+Bonus AS/100) * (1+Total AS/100)

Result: 3.38 attack speed

Now, with 48% calculated as bonus AS:

Result: 2.61 attack speed

So yes, it is bonus attack speed. Either the patch notes are wrong, or it is a bug. We need a rioter to confirm this.

I've been seeing the same bug as well. On a number of different champions the attacks per second gained are always the same per stack, without regard for total attack speed, suggesting that it just functions as bonus attack speed. I haven't tried this in game, only in the practice tool, but it seems to be happening consistently.

intended. They changed it back on pbe. Patch notes are most of the time wrong, don't trust them
