League of Legends isn't starting

League of Legends was always working for me and starting a few days ago, I clicked on League of Legends and it kept on saying there was an error and that League stopped working. The message was "PVP.net Patcher Kernel" "PVP.net Patcher Kernel has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" and my only option was "Close program". I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and did a reboot online with my Windows 8 laptop. I need help with fixing this issue so I can play League of Legends. Please help ASAP.
