[CLIENT] Keeps Thinking It Needs to Patch and Is Failing At It

This screen pops up usually every time I end a match, whether it's versus AI or PVP appears to be irrelevant given how it happens for both about equally. This popup also occasionally has a Restart button instead of just "Okay' and will exit and restart the client.

I can't reproduce the bug manually at will, but if I leave my client open for a good half an hour or more, then it pops up in one of it's "Restart" or "Okay" forms again.

I have already tried using the Hextech Repair Tool to force a repatch and the error still keeps occurring. The strange part is, with both versions, I am still able to play. If the game really needed to repatch itself, wouldn't it not let me play period like it has in the past?

Hence why I believe something is out of sorts here. If necessary, I will submit a ticket with the appropriate HRT-begotten logs on the off chance that it has to do with my machine rather than the Riot servers.

I've been having this issue too, except it appears to be virtually random. Sometimes I get the prompt and nothing happens. Sometimes it actually closes the client and redownloads it. Sometimes it's after a game. Sometimes it just decides it needs to do it when i've more or less just walked away for 5 minutes after having gone through the re-patching process. I too have used the repair tool, which doesn't seem to have done anything.

111 views and only one comment with nobody telling me why what was happening was happening. THe issue seems to have stopped for now, but nothing in 7.17 patch notes said anything about it being fixed. If it's not too inconvenient, may I please get some closure as to what the issue was? TYVM!
