Lee Sin Ult Failed Knock Up

As Lee Sin, I ulted Zed into a Volibear that was chasing me and the Volibear did not get knocked up. Voli did not have a Banshee's Veil, and Zed clearly went through Voli's body. The video linked shows a slow-mo version and close up of what happened. Must be a bug or glitch. I've had this issue before where Lee's ult fails to hit someone, but this is definitely the most clear evidence I found.
