Gnar Boomerang indicator

When playing I've had problems with gnar's boomerang indicator not appearing the full length. what i mean by this is that ill throw the boomerang, and the catching indicator will only have a set distance (maybe 7 teemos? shorter than the usual indicator) and the indicator will stay this length, moving in front of the boomerang as it travels.
