Hi there.
I'm having trouble with my abilities automatically casting when i press their respective key. Usually, when I press a key, I am shown an attack range that allows me to aim my skill shots. Instead, now the attack just fires off in the direction of my cursor making skill shots much harder.
I checked my settings and have "attack range" marked so I'm not sure why this is happening.
Please help!
Try looking at your options menu... I think under key bindings. You probably have smart cast on, from the sound of it. Smart cast instantly casts abilities in the direction of the cursor, or, in the case of single target abilities, targets the nearest enemy to your cursor when you press the respective key.
Ok I found it. The key was "enable line missile display" and I had to disable smart cast. Thanks again.
They changed the default settings last patch, so if you use defaults (or restore defaults) smart cast automatically turns on. If you hold the ability key down, it should show the ability range.
