Windows 10 Notification noise then League freezes

Hello everyone! I have encountered a very frustrating problem in past couple of months. I will be in a game (ranked) and out of nowhere my computer will make windows 10 notification noise and my league will freeze. I am unable to alt+tab to kill the program and am forced to either sign out and back in or have to restart my PC entirely to get back into the game. This usually leads to me being behind in the early game followed by a loss if im unlucky. I have seen other posts talking ab this issue but have yet to find a definitive reason or a solution. So far, I have tried:

  1. Uninstalling/Reinstalling the game.
  2. Using the Hextech repair tool.
  3. Updating audio/graphics drivers.
  4. Checking compatibility with windows.

None of these attempts have fixed my problem and I find myself very frustrated trying to enjoy the game but constantly having to deal with this.. especially bc it happens to randomly. I can go 5-10 games without it happening and then out of nowhere.. I hear the damned noise and my heart sinks lol. Please help? I hope Riot sees this. Thank you! [vlad-salute]

I recommend you send a ticket to riot support, but that sound like an issue with windows it self do you use USB devices? Run an anti virus scan or maybe turn on windows 10 gaming mode it will turn off notifications untill you are out of game gl 😉

HI! iv'e had this same problem before i think the fix i had was right click league of legends, select properties. go to compatibility and make sure everything is unchecked. see if it works then.

I am encountering the same problem. It happens at least three times a day. I cant alt tab to see the notification either because league freezes on full screen. I caught it one time, but I cantr quite remember what it said. It was something along the lines of "a process has encountered an error and cannot continue" I believe. Its very frustrating. Ill see if I can figure it out and ill get back to you if its still a problem for you as well.[sg-janna]

So after going around to a bunch of people cause ive had the same problems as you all, it seems to be a win10 pro problem, ik this doesnt help much for a fix but just hoping getting this small ammount of info out helps

Also on Windows 10, the problem only started for me about a month ago and happens several times a week. I have done virus scans, run in compatibility mode, reinstalled the game, and run the repair tool and the problem still persists. I should add that this bug happens in game and while watching replays.
