No Reconnect Button

So champ select has just ended I'm sitting there waiting for the game to open after about 2 minutes of the game not opening I close the client which the only message displayed is "game still in progress". I open it back up to find the same message displayed, I message my duo partner he says we had just loaded in and I'm not there. I quickly open task manager close out everything league related and I'm able to reconnect but as soon as I load in the team had just remade and I had lost my placement game.
