[Gameplay] Illaoi's E goes doesn't effect Poppy's E

I don't know how this interaction is supposed to work, but if Poppy is in front of me and I use Illaoi's E to take her soul as she dashes to me, it completely bypasses her and she crashes into me with no soul pulled. Although on the flip side if I E while she ults me the soul still comes out as I fly away.
