LAG

Was just playing a game when all the sudden everything stops, I can click around the screen but nothing moves. My ping goes to exactly 500 ms, but i know it's not a problem with my connection; the internet works fine. The option to reconnect pops up, I reconnect, waiting, waiting... nothing happens. I exit out of the game. Try and reconnect.... nothing happens.
