Game Crashes after Champ Select patch 7.2

My brother and I have a problem where the game will not load after we select our champions. The screen just goes black as if it is going to pull up the loading screen but it just stays black and does not let us load into the game. It will stay black screened and a notification will pop up saying that we were unable to connect and to check our internet connection. We tried closing the game and client completely and opening it up several times for a game we were trying to get in on both the beta and the legacy client but it would not load at all. The client did let us log in but it would immediately try to load us in the game and it would crash again saying unable to connect. After the game ended it sent us back to the normal client screen. We closed league and opened it again to run custom game tests to see if the game would load for us and they did. However, we still worry that it will crash again in a real game, which we really don't want to happen again. Please help us figure out what is wrong. Thank you.
