Disconnected in the middle of my Ranked Game

I got disconnected in the middle of my Ranked game: The main problem is when i tried to reconnect , the client opened normally as if the game never existed: the play button was shining and i could start a new queue whereas the game i was already in surely didn't end during my dc phase. The client didn't save the game in my history and i did not lose LP, which is a good thing but this can't happen again. Anyone experienced this before ? Please let me know.
