[GAMEPLAY] Dark Star Thresh skin causes crippling in game lag

Not sure if this was just in the game me and my friends were playing but every time Dark Star Thresh entered vision, the game lagged out for a second and made it impossible to react to the situation.

  1. Have Dark Star Thresh enter vision from the fog of war.
  2. Experience lag.

This bug was entirely reproducible on every instance that this happened during the game. This happened whenever Thresh entered TEAM vision.

Like I said, not sure if this was an isolated instance but it definitely sucked.

Thanks for the report! We are aware of the issue, and you're correct that FoW is the culprit here. At the moment, we're working on a resolution for this issue.

It's cause he's a dark star, he must stay hidden from the other team and cannot be seen. Like real black holes.

i just bought the skin and i got little lagg all game i run an high end pc its not from me

i can confirm, both me and a friend experienced this. as soon as he appears, my game froze for ~1 sec every time he came into view. My friend exact same thing.

Can confirm this bug. Was in comms in a 5-man pre-made and every single time Thresh came out of FoW our clients froze for 1 second.

Confirmed and extremely annoying in ranked, this also happens whenever Sion's passive dies.

Well, this explains why I my game was freezing for a second in my last game. There was indeed a Dark Star Thresh. Now since I was in jungle, I didn't check to see if each freeze was a result of him coming out of fog of war, but Dark Star Thresh and small freezes were indeed in the same game.

I got that skin and have played about 6 games with it, no one ever mentioned anything like that to me. I did notice a sudden jerking movement with my camera as Dark Star Varus on the other team came into my vision once.

Can i get my 25$ back from the dark star bundle so I can spend it on overwatch? Riot better do something to compensate people for this. Big mess up when you are fighting blizz for players right now /faceplant

Was it fixed, cause I just had this exact problem... I don't wanna have to ban Trash every game just cause it could give them a free win if they have the skin.

Haven't had any complaints when I used it. I am a little ticked that I spent all those RP on it and can't use it though. So I hope you get this issue solved soon

This skin is still causing masssive issues on anyone with a the mac. Is make is crippling to use and lag issues.

Can riot please disable this skin again.
