Can't install updated client ever since the connectivity issues from a few days ago arised
Ever since the connectivity issue from last week has come up, I have been unable to install League of Legends updated client. I forgot that you can re- install League through the new client and did the usual uninstall and reinst- all process. However, I now have the continuous issue of being told to re- install the alpha client whenever I click the "update client" button when the standard launch client pops up. If I ignore the update button, it will install normally. The only problem is being unable to install the new client. I'm pretty sure the cause is the connectivity issue because this hasn't ever happened before. Also my computer is not a potato. It ran the new client perfectly when it came out.
Edit: What happens is that when I click the "upgrade now" button, the launch button just stays the same, doesn't show the download progress bar or anything, so it's really weird. Any help would be great.
Edit 2: I think I finally figured out how to fix it. As previously stated, when trying to update the client after pressing the "upgrade now" button, it does nothing and shows that launch button, no matter what. After many re-installing attempts, the only way to get the updated client back up is doing a legit clean install. After uninstalling league, go to your hard drive, and as you'll see, the "Riot Games" folder is still there. Delete it, should be 300+ megabytes. Reinstall league and now it should be working fine. It worked for me and now it's currently patching. I hope this helps. Sucks that it took me this long to figure out how to fix it, but fuck it.
