Client doesn't let me ban yi then allows me to select a banned champ

I was gonna play panth jg. Tried to ban yi. Clicked the yi picture the red cage thing came up around his picture in ban select but the ban button lagged out (edit: to clarify it was grey and I couldn't click on it). Clicked between yi and lee to try to select make the ban button work. Timer hits zero the red cage is on yi. Bans lee instead for some reason. When its my turn to ban I have lee as my champ somehow. Try to lock him in to see if it works. Message pops up saying there was a problem selecting your champion timer hits 0. 5min dodge time feelsbadman.
