Game is still in progress instead of a Reconnect Button

yesterday this happened on my other smurf and now this is happening again. After the champion select, I usually alt tab and watch youtube or something until game starts but the separate client for the actual game won't open in the first place. I tried restarting my client but the reconnect button won't show up. Is this an issue for others or just me? edit: I don't know why i should suffer lp and even get reported for afking because of the wack client.
