League freezing my PC during load screen

So I’ve never had this issue before, it only began when I purchased a brand new monitor a few days ago. Every time I try to load into a game, instead of seeing the load screen, I will get a black screen and be unable to tab out of the game during this time. I can still move the cursor around and hear people in discord, but that’s all. Then after a minute or two, it causes my PC to freeze. What could be causing this issue and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Could be your resolution that is incompatible but still stuck with that account settings. Do you have a smurf to compare? Could you plug your PC to the previous monitor to make sure its the monitor and nothing else.

I have had the same issue for over a month now. It started randomly, and only for LoL, no other games. I have tried multiple suggested actions without any success. My client used to finally load after like 10 minutes into the game, but lately it has been getting stuck at the black screen too. =/
