cant join champion select

when i start a normal match or every match i eccept, everyone eccept and then when the champion select start my champion select screen turns black and after a min or two it said failed champion select and goes back to the home screen in the game and sometimes the screen just stay black and i have to restart league of legends. how do i fix it
