Black Screen of Death Bug

I'm curious how Riot has let this game-breaking bug go on for years. If you search the bug about not being able to connect after getting through champ select, there are posts from LITERALLY YEARS AGO talking about the same bug with the same error. There is no fix to this and there are insane consequences to it. I have tried reimaging my computer, reinstalling league, doing the league client fixer. The bug also happens on ethernet connections and Wi-Fi connections. When the bug happens and I get the error saying that I cannot connect to the servers, I can still do anything else on the internet. I'll even try to change to a different Wi-Fi or use my phone's hotspot to join the game, but none of that works so it is definitely a problem on Riot's end. Several of the members of my collegiate team have this problem fairly regularly. We are constantly losing LP and have even gotten several low-priority queue times without ever actually AFKing in a game or leaving.

Never even seen a Red post on this. It's ridiculous. I want to play the game but get severely punished for a bug with no fix from Riot or even acknowledgement.
