Summoners Rift (New) Major FPS Drop

So when playing on the new summoners rift I noticed my fps dropping about 100-50 frames while just walking around and while in team fights you can throw on another 50 to that number. If anyone knows the cause please tell me it happens to my friend to while she plays on her laptop however its a much bigger issue with her dropping from her normal 20 frames down to about 5-0 frames during team fights / walking around.
