Latest patch has a bug so big it bricked my pc
Yes. My 2000 dollar gaming laptop needed to be restarted twice, and black screened because of the latest patch. It won't charge now. It's actually fried.
I downloaded the patch this morning and had a few games. They were a little visually laggy but ok.
At some point in the day, not logged into league, I changed my resolution to 4k, and then back down to a small resolution, but still bigger than it was this morning.
Then I reoppened the client, and played a game. The first game crashed saying something about an unknown error, and showed gltichy lines in the alt tab preview of the lobby client. The application could not be existed by any means, and I needed to restart. When I did, the white start up client had reset to NA, and updated really quickly or something. A big 'play' button that I've never seen before popped up, so I guess it completely reset. It loaded slowly and I was about a minute late to laning in ranked.
Stupidly I decided to play another one, not expecting a problem. Same issue, but the client didn't pop up before the 'unknown error' message came up. Reconnected and booted up, still late to lane phase. In lane, there was a big glitch, and then everything lost their shadows or 3D depth or something. Lighting engine issue. Finally after after a few minutes of trying to play like that. Straight to black. Fans off, completely dead. Took a little while for it to start again, and when it did, it no longer charged. It goes down really fast too, like 1 percentage tick every 8 seconds.
Nothing else was open, my graphics card shouldn't be having a problem. This was entirely a league bug.
Crossing my fingers and hoping that I'll fix itself over night. Might have to stop playing if I'm risking bricking my PC each time tho.
