Client breaking during loading causing leaver busters - SO FRUSTRATING!

The loading client keeps crashing during load screen and is causing leaver busters. This has been an issue for months now, and I haven't seen a word or a peep about a potential fix or even input from Riot. Is this being worked on?

I understand that Riot is getting a ton of flame about this right now, and that flame isn't helpful, but it's not without cause. The community that play your game are getting really fed up with these kinds of issues taking six months to a year to fix at times. I personally first noticed this issue around four months ago, and from what I've noticed from other posts here and feedback from other players it's been going on even longer. I have reported this bug consistently both via client, these boards, Reddit, and even put in a support ticket which has yet to be answered.

I just lost LP and MMR tonight because I was loading the game and went to the restroom, came back and the client was completely frozen and did not notice it was completely frozen at 100% until it was too late to avoid a leaver buster. Normally this is not an issue as you can just re-open the load and it will go through, but sometimes it freezes with literally zero warning and just sits there. If someone isn't sitting there spam clicking the client will sit there forever like that. If someone is distracted, say in the restroom or looking at their other monitor, this can EASILY be noticed far too late, and can cause a leaver buster. Most times I catch when the client breaks, but it's infuriating to lose LP, MMR, and to undo my last win because of something that was out of my control. This is also not a standalone issue with me in particular, it's very common to have people showing up to lane phase late and be complaining about the loading screen breaking, if they even come back into the game at all.

On top of the frustration of actually having a leaver buster levied against you for something completely out of your control, this issue adds another layer of frustration. I should not have to sit here and police the client. I should not have to sit and make sure that the game loads or works the way it's supposed to. Many years ago now we, the community, were promised a 'new client' for the game that would fix such problems and that has never happened.

Please, Riot, if you care about your community at all at least give us an update on what is being done to resolve this issue.

Bonus points if you can give us some insight into what is being done about the seemingly random FPS drops people are experiencing (me included) as of the last few months too.

These issues need to be addressed. Your community is frustrated and tired of waiting.
