Post-game/match history statistics discrepancy

Hey, so I was looking at some stats from my last game and noticed that there is a little less "Gold Earned" than "Gold Spent". The champs with this discrepancy were (in this order) Gankplank , Lucian and Tresh .

There is a theory (from Twitter )) if the starting gold (500g) counts as earned.

Well, that's all I can tell so far.

It happens when you sell items. They don't count the refunded money as gold earned.

GP sold: Ionians, Cull, and D-ring Lucian sold: Refillable Potion and D-blade Thresh sold: Ionians

If you ended the game with less money in your pocket than the combined value of all sold items, your gold spent will be higher than your gold earned.
