MoDeStGoDdEsS718 votesIn many ways, ARAM can be harder, simply because of how random the champs received can be. I burned out in SR because of how long it took just to really have any action in game. I've been on ARAM for a long time and there should be some form to get the mastery tokens for those of us that aren't living on SR all the time.

Jaresh8 votesI feel the same way. SR is so repetitive and gets monotonous after a while and ARAM offers more action. I would like to add that in ARAM there is a higher difficulty in winning fights since almost all fights are 5 vs 5 and small skirmishes are rare.

Alternate game modes are intended to offer variety in play with a less competitive standard for players. We want to maintain mastery levels 6 and 7 as achievements specific to high performance in competition, so they will only be achievable in SR modes. - Riot Socrates

I would just like to point out. 5 of my 10 mastery 7/6 champs are because of URF. So ya... f that logic.

this is just a guess. but Aram is much different than normal matches, 1 lane. matches are usually shorter, people die more. and as a result you have more kills/assists.
they would basically need a completely different algorithm for ARAM than normal matches. or else the data would be scewed like crazy

A Weak Nerd6 votesI only play aram, it's more fun imo. It can be very competitive. Ive had hundreds of intense matches, some lasting over an hour. That being said, I get to VS people in aram that have lvl 6 mastery frequently. So why cant I earn a token for playing aram? Wouldn't that make things even for when my team versus people that are lvl 6? Also I've achieved mastery lvl 5 on several champs in aram mode only. Then it stops at 5.. Why let me gain levels at all on aram?

but i got Jax to level 6 by playing nothing but URF mode as him. Aint that a rotating game mode?

The exact same thing happened to me; I don't know whether it's an update in the new patch or something. Would appreciate some info on this

Wulfgrimm3 votesBecause some people like me don't enjoy playing SR at all, it's simply too slow and boring for me plus it's full of tryhards and flamers. On the other hand ARAM is fast and good mode to play if you play LoL just for fun. But it would still be nice to get mastery token when you get an S-.
