Ranked kicked me out and i got a short ban for no reason

I just got into a ranked game, I waited my turn. When it actually came time for me to pick, the little shing indicating it was my turn went off, but it was pointing toward the other team. It wouldn't let me pick a champion, and after the time went to 0 it kicked me out and gave me a 5 min ban. I know it's not much, but for someone who might have a bad leaving record, this could really mess up their day/week. pls fix
