Anivia ability glitch

On occation, when anivia throws her ice egg (I believe only when it crosses a minion) the egg dissapears, Only to reappear at its maximum range. Once this happened I tried to immediately "force" the egg to explode after it dissapeared, but it didnt just went it's max range.
