Weird Situation

Okay so this is actually for ShadowChadwick but there was an issue where we were trying to join a game after champion select. His loading screen didn't open, so he closed league and tried to open it again (which has never been an issue before), but when he tried to rejoin, the client only told him that the game was still in progress and wouldn't open the actual game for him. Is this a common issue for anyone or just a random chance of not working?

Sidenote: we ended up remaking so it's not like it's the end of the world but we're curious to see if this is a common problem haha. Thanks so much.
