Essence refund?

Well, Just logged into league after the patch and saw my IP converted into the blue essence 28,000 ( give or take a some thousands ) Blue essence, So I went to loot and it mentioned since I spent about 62,243 IP on runes and will receive that. Well it told me that I would end up with in total of 143,423 Blue essence. Anyone know how long that'll take to be delivered or our great Lord Riot screwed the math up along the way. (I also can't remember if I bought some runes or rune pages with RP)

Many seem to be confused here (guess as I don't remember it being explained to us). Check your missions, one of them should be for that extra BE. Not quite sure why you have to play and win a game but a quick 15 minute ARAM should do it.

I think anyway, it seems to be the consensus.
