play button and other things not working

I CAN log in and I can go to my profile go to friends profiles go to the store but i CANNOT right click anything on my friends list or press play to get into a game

what is going on :(

I am attempting to reinstall client now which will be followed by a restart to see if this fixes anything

whilst I am waiting for the game to reinstall, can I get some insight on what MAY cause this

a reinstall has fixed the issue it seems
