Buff Transfer Duration Bug??

So, I was testing out some stuff and I noticed that when I kill the buff camp (only tested blue, not red) I get the buff for 120 secs, just like noted on the patch notes for 4.20. But when I killed a champion that had the blue buff I got it for the old 150 seconds. It was tested on both teams, with and without a jungle item. Always the same result. TLDR.

  • Killed the golem = Got buffed for 120 secs
  • Killed a champ that had blue = Got buffed for 150 secs

Can anyone confirm?

Also, I noticed that the smite bonus from the camps does not come back if you dont finish the camp. For example, if I smite the brambleback and just walk away, Ill get the health from it, but since I didnt kill the camp, when I come back, doesnt matter after how long, the smite bonus will not be there. Is that intentional?

The first one, whoa! Need to test that one. EDIT: Tested. From jungle monsters, Blue buff and Red buff last 120 seconds. When transferred, Blue buff lasts 150 seconds and red buff lasts 120 seconds. (It doesn't matter how long it was held before it was transferred.)

The second one, yes, that's intentional. "Smite rewards are available once per camp spawn." Now you can counterjungle just by smiting important buffs you think the enemy will want. Or stay a few more seconds and kill the camp yourself. If the enemy jungler appears, you have a choice: do you smite now to steal the buff, or smite later to steal the buff and kill the camp?
