Darius AA not working after E

Anytime I used e on Darius (Dunkmaster skin, idk if that helps) , I was unable to auto attack again until I left clicked on the screen. Instead, it just acted as though I was setting a destination to passively walk to, even if I right clicked an enemy champion. It really messed up my combos. Pls fix, rito
