[Client] New Champ Select Screen Freezing

Whenever I try go into the new champ select in ranked or normal games, my client becomes unresponsive around the beginning phases, usually after I choose a champion I'm planning to play or somewhere in the bans. What happens is that when someone is picking a champ or banning the timer will go down to 0 and stay there for a while. At this point my client becomes unresponsive and all I can do is just wait until my turn comes and I get kicked out of champ select for not picking/locking in...

Is anyone else experiencing this? I've lost 20 LP from this happening in ranked games and gotten 5-30 minute wait times as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

This same thing happens to me all the time.... It also happens occasionally after I lock in my champion and other people start to choose/lock in their champions. Whichever person was picking prior to the client freezing just will have their timer stuck at 0 and it won't show anybody else picking, then after waiting for whatever amount of time I need to for champion select to end it will say in the chat:

myclientdoesntsuck1 Has left the room
myclientdoesntsuck2 Has left the room myclientdoesntsuck3 Has left the room myclientdoesntsuck4 Has left the room

But I am still in the room, stuck in champion select. And I will stay there unless if I restart the client, re-log in, and then it will leave me at the 'You have disconnected, click here to reconnect' page, with that orange button in the center to reconnect to the game.

Please Riot, this bug has lost me promos... FIX THIS PLEASE!

EDIT: So 1 month later a similar issue happened, I joined the lobby of a game and was able to pick my preferred champion. Then when bans were almost done the last summoner's ban timer got stuck at zero and it didn't show who they banned and the client stayed that way until I was kicked from the lobby due to not being able to lock in my champion.

Riot needs to get off their butts and actually get to work on FIXING their game. Rather than constantly rolling out these huge meta-changing patches into a broken glitched and buggy game. Riot, do yourselves a favor, and listen to the community.

Update: Although the repair fixed it, it was only a short term fix... After a day or so of playing it started to happen again, specifically right in the middle of a promotion series.

Hy guys i have the same problem here, last week it just happened sometimes, not in every champ select. This evening i had the prob again, i came to this post and tried the repair button on the client screen, i tried to play a match and the prob wasn't solved... i lost 13 lp item 3070

This is a real problem, happens several times per day. I doubt its a graphics card issue.

Tried repairing and re-installing the game, but sadly it didn't work at all. I can see the issue is here since more than 3 months! Riot I think it's time to fix this. Me and multiple friends are losing LP because of this, so please fix this :(

I know this is a bit old but still killing a lot of players I've repaired 100 Times But i saw the answer in this thread. After checking my drivers i installed the most recent version of adobe Air Haven't had a client Problem since It worked great for me i hope it helps all of you

Same. Been happening for a month or more now. Client freezes during champion select. Other times when it does work the graphics are all crazy icons are missing, titles are in the wrong place, all the client's styling is off. Not sure if this has anything to do with the issue but thought I'd report it as well.

THIS IS STILL AN ISSUE! HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE FOR YEARS. AND RIOT HAS NEVER COMMENTED OR SHOWED ANY SPECIFIC INTEREST IN TRYING TO FIX IT. MY GAAHD JUST GOT A 15 MIN PENALTY BECAUSE OF THIS. AND I'VE LOST IMPORTANT PROMO MATCHES. This is not okay, i've spent money on this game, they better fix it.

Im reviving this thread, its still happening to me and there is no way to fix it. I've reinstalled and used the repair tool. Please help.

My entire computer freezes in the new champ select. I play on the old champ select just fine.

gtx 960 is my graphics card, I've seen other people with nvidia cards having trouble.

Tried using older graphics drivers and it didnt change anything (was using the new ones). Tried minimizing the client during champ select to try and bypass any specific animation that might be locking up my computer, didnt work.
