I cannot connect to chat or talk in champion select. It says failed to connect but to manually connect and that still does not work.

Same here, 3 days straight as well.. Can't play normal games or even custom games like hide and seek. Chat only works during in game when it's too late..
Did this problem start like right after you updated? Because I have the same problem and thats when it started for me.
Same thing here. Been happening for 3 days now. 
Tears for days
Happening to me constantly after 5.12 was released. i've played with my friends while this is happening to me and they say they can see the messages i send, but I don't see anything at all, even the one I typed out and sent. My client has been REALLY buggy since 5.12 too.

Same thing here, started since 5.12 it seems. Tried a bunch of different fixes but nothing worked. Kind of sucks because it's been the Party IP and I can't find anyone to play with...
