Game DC, close and re-open, can not join current game?

Playing a game, suddenly ping shot up (Internet is fine) and it did "attempting to reconnect" so i closed game and try to re load after waiting a few.. Can't re-join my ranked game, just brings me to the normal pick a map screen. Did this get removed, or is it glitched? I was enjoying that game, and dont want to get banned/demoted just because it wouldnt let me re join
