Friends List Status Will Not Update

A couple of weeks ago as a joke to some friends I changed my league status to say "Creating Normal Game" knowing that when you look in the list it shows the "Creating Normal...." under your name as if you were actually making a game. After doing it, the game was of course patched but now I cannot change my friends list status. I was wondering if either A.) the patch bugged it or B.) Riot has frowned upon my joke and removed said ability. Has anyone encountered anything similar?
