Log-in update/patch screen

When i clicked on my LoL icon to go into the first screen to allow updates/patches, the update never completes it continuously says files scanned. I don't know what to do, I have waited for very long periods for it to finish but nothing works. Can someone tell me what to do?

If this is Windows 8.1 I closed out of my League Client, Rightclicked the league icon and Ran As Administrator. For some reason Windows 8.1 UAC has issues granting league all permissions.
