An update to the client crash bug please?

Could we please get an update as to what riot is doing to fix the crashes that Mac and Windows 7 & 8 are experiencing?

The most frustrating thing about this bug is it's not being addressed specifically by the rioters :( I see many "did you blablabla the number on the bugsplat report blablablablablaba" reponses to bug reports of this kind, but please can we just be kept in the loop instead of in the dark on this issue?

It's not even on the list of known issues on the mega thread for this patch update :/

Please let us know what you guys are working on, so we can get back to playing :)

Yeah ever since the patch ive been Dcing randomly and i can't reconnect back(stuck at 500 ping).

Indeed this has happened to me 4 times today. Playing, all of a sudden: Attempting to Reconnect, 500 ping. During this "Attempting to Reconnect" I was able to converse with a few friends, with no delays between chat functions. Then proceeded to manually try and reset the game, 7, I repeat Seven(7) times I attempted to reconnect and got booted back to the reconnect button.

I as well am having the same issue, get a lag spike and a trying to reconnect window that doesn't go away with ping stuck at 500. If i exit game and reload i load anywhere from 60-98% before game crashes again and get the bug splat report. Please fix this issue it is rather annoying I cannot play and enjoy the game and have now been banned for 2 days because your game is broken. Quite ridiculous if this continues perhaps money should be refunded for any riot points purchased.

So I can't even get to the log-in screen because it says the update failed. I have tried to do the repair and send the logs and even get rid of the client all together and start from scratch. NOTHING has worked, I would love to play your game Riot but alas I cannot. PLZ HALP!
