when you get in a match and you click "p" and the shop doesnt show up

so i got into my first game on my new computer, and i choose Pyke w/ smite and flash, i go in the game, upgrade my "e" and click "p" and my shop doesn't show up. (yes i have tried clicking the icon in the bottom left of the screen and clicking on the shop in the spawn.) i was on summoners rift if that helps. I am so clueless right now and some help would be greatly appreciated.

(also got a leaver buster for looking up how to solve this lol)
