Weird bug while gifting snowball icons

"ERROR_CREATING_FFG_ACCOUNT_NICKNAME" I'm getting this error when I try to gift one of my friends the new snowball icon, but I can gift my other friends just fine, any ideas?

I'm getting this same error, as well as a new friend I just tried to make. We're positing it's because we're new friends?

I looked into this, and it looks like you may not have been friends for at least 24 hours, which is the minimum amount of time you need to be friends in order to gift.

That makes so much sense-it's probably too late to swap it over to where the snowballs don't require that limit right?

Because I've tried just gifting people snowballs really quickly several times now hopelessly. At first I tried the gifting button in the post-game lobby, but that didn't work so I did the process of friending them, going to the gifting section, and going to the snowball icons... To find out that they already had all the icons.

Should've known something was up when it did this repeatedly.

I was just trying to spread the festive spirit around with some cheap 100 IP icons to random folk. summoner 3

I figured-! Thanks for the heads up about all of this though, maybe sometime down the line if you do something similar you can try and keep that in mind? Any small way to try and help spread positivity is nice.

Hi im sorry for bugging you but are you sure its 1 day? my friend who i made today tried to gift me a skin and came up with this nickname thing, im worried because he spent money and cant gift it :(

It should be 24 hours from the time you befriended each other. If you're having issues still, I would suggest shooting a ticket over to player support. They'll be able to help out!
