Hextech Chest Error Massage & no loot

I got a Chest from a match I played & when I opened it there was an error massage saying nothing happened & restart client. I did so, but then Chest wasn't available in the loot. No additional loot was added to the loot menu but to be sure I checked in purchase history too & there was no new items. I received this chest after a long time & its kind of sad to loose it.

Is it Possible that chest doesn't include any items?

I've had almost the same problem i opened the chest it showed the item and then it didn't add that to my inventory, and I bought that chest and key.
