Since I installed the new OSX Mojave on my mac the mic on LoL is not working. Checking in the System Preferences the Mic works fine but in the client and in game (even with the mic test) the app shows it has no input at all.
This can be fixed by Riot in a coffee break. The entitlements are wrong and there's something missing in the info.plist file of the app. I managed to get it working but you need a MacOS developer account to get the developer certificates needed to sign the app.

The command to re-sign the packages (you need a valid Developer Certificate) codesign -f --deep -s 'Developer ID Application: XXXXXXXXXX (XXXXXXXX)' --entitlements "League of Legends.entitlements" "/Applications/League of Legends.app"
It's outrageous that such a simple fix, takes so long.

It seems that lol doesn't request access to microphone so it hasn't got auth to use it on Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Microphone
As a temporary workaround (that does not require a developer certificate), you could run the client from the terminal utility:
“Terminal.app” would like to access the microphone.Voice should now work, but I strongly suggest to test it in a coop game or similar, to make sure that everything is ok. Steps 5 and 6 should only be needed the first time (unless you reset your settings). Steps 1 to 4 will be needed whenever you want to start LoL. If the client updates, I would suggest you to close it and run through steps 1-5.

Absolutely the same problem. Just downloaded Mojave and can't access the mic since it isn't requesting permission to access the microphone.

Thought it was just mine until I finally checked here. Been a huge inconvenience forever. I thought if it was my laptop riot would have fixed it by now. Why is this taking so long?? 7 months for a bug fix that should take a couple of hours max

Nice ! It seems to works for me too. With this thread I create a script to run this 2 steps just by double-clic on a icon on my desk.
I just finished making my own folder and for those wondering what it should look like i get 5 lines

(don't forget not to copy the " " " at the beginning and at the end, it's the only way to get the hashtag in) (LOLWorkingMicFile.command is the name of the file that contains these 5 lines and it is located on my desktop) (I suck at all this btw xD)

1 year with the problem. ONE YEAR. C'mon Riot fix this is not that difficult to make a file that Mac can recognize and ask for permission for the microphone. 
My boy. When is league gonna allow Macbook pro or ido thingy to work I really enjoy having voice chats with my friends and the MacBook Pro was a present u wasn’t able to buy a game computer so it’ll be helpful if u guys try to let Mac access to the microphone it has been a year since then and there’s no way u guys can active it please do we all want it and is not cool just listening to your friends and gotta txt or ye not able to talk with them so please if u guys can try to fix this problem yes Thank u riot
There is a way to make Voice work on Mac. I have macOS Catalina and it works. It's a very inefficient way but worth the try. You need to open Terminal and execute these 2 commands.
Doing this will make the client ask for microphone access and Voice will be enabled. You need to do this every time you need to start the client so it's definitely not the best solution but it works. Hope Riot actually fixes this.
