League shutting down automatically after "Launch"

MAC Since the new patch came out, I haven't been able to run League. The restart page patch took 5 mins but couldn't get the game to "Launch": the client automatically shuts down after clicking "launch", there isn't even any trace in Activity Monitor. Have already tried redownloading the entire game. Same situation. :/ wondering if this is a patch bug or a computer problem
