Thresh and Relic Shield(Gameplay)

When Thresh has relic shield, the relic shield passive sometimes doesn't work when he has e unlocked. You can repeat this by trying to execute minions at 255 health and it won;t execute the minion.

Thresh is a Ranged champion, and only melee attacks can proc the execute bonus damage. Last hitting any way will still proc the gold/heal share though.

So am I correct in understanding that there's no way to proc the execute damage? I've actually had issues with its consistency as well, though. Eventually I chalked it up to either being a bug or mismanagement of the E passive damage increase. I don't play enough Thresh to know for sure; I just know I have some serious inconsistency issues with it.

That's correct; Thresh cannot get the bonus damage no matter what he does. His E damage provides a good amount of damage which could be saved up to help last hitting and can sometimes be mistaken for Relic Shield's execute.
