Don't want to be the one to complain, but......this patcher issue....

I had originally thought this was a minor patch, yet again I was wrong. There's no such thing as a minor patch with Riot. I was stuck at 99% for only a matter of minutes until I received an "error" and was told to restart my client to "FIX" the issue. Well, here I am on my 4th attempt at this whole "fix" ordeal. Keep in mind I have let it run to 2500-5000 files each time and I've also ran a repair, restarted my client, restarted my computer AND I have no connection issues. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Hey everyone,

We know that this is a really painful experience, and we're working on getting a fix out to you ASAP. In the meantime, although the file scanning phase is long, the best thing to do is just let it run. Restarting your client more than once after seeing the unspecified error won't make it complete more quickly, and actually restarts the scanning process from the beginning.

Although it is taking a long time to scan, you should complete patching this way and will be able to play.

I got to 99% then got the error bug, restarted the patcher as per the instructions and I'm now on file scanned 28997 (still going as I write this) and it's been at this for the best part of 3 hours. I don't really get much free time to game at the moment so this has ruined the night for me to be honest, with no useful comments from riot at all and money on this issue not being fixed for another day or two. This happens far too often and there is never any compensation to players for having to put up with this. Tonight was the first night I was actually going to buy riot points for some new skins...looks like I'll be keeping my money

I just had mine give the patch complete ding while I was reading this, and it was well over 5k files scanned when I left it, meaning it must've scanned 6-7k before completing.

It seems like if you're patient it will eventually finish, so just try to let it chug away in the background.

I've passed the 16k file mark, and done 800 sit-ups waiting because it's just a habit to do that when I'm bored. I think League is gonna give me a six-pack by the time it can actually open. Regretting it because my stomach hurts and I'm tired af. summoner 3

why does it seem that every time a patch comes out, 3 more bugs come with it. Mine got to 99% then gave a message that it was unable to finish loading.

mine got to 64k files scanned and then it just shut down, i clicked to open LOL again and i am back at scanning from 0 files. My laptop has been on all day in order to do this and now i am back to square 1. this is a f**king joke!

Yes, this is a problem. Restarting the process over and over again doesn't solve anything and just wastes time.

It scans up to 1700, then starts to download patch, then says ''unspecified error occured'' at 99%, then i close client, bugsplat appears, send in, launch client again, let it scan up to 1700, let it download again, and it crashes at 99% again, so on and so on.. tried atleast 6-8 times so far..

IS not really a small patch. A good deal of skins comes today for the lunar revel. Try restarting teh computer before trying to patch again

6% after 10 restarts. I do value my time, but LoL is the only game I play right now... so I have no choice but to stay at this if I want to play, and it's agony.

12k files and still counting, sitting at a enjoyable 33% after it failed to update once already.
