Client Bug: Placed in "lower priority queue" without an AFK or abandon

I played a match in which the loading screen crashed multiple times delaying my entry to the game. During the crashes my connection to the rest of the internet appeared unhindered. I successfully loaded multiple websites between every crash. Needless to say, I joined 5-10 mins into the laning phase and we lost the match. I did not experience lag during the game and my internet connection continued to function after the game ended and the post-match stats screen was up on my League client. I proceeded to click "Play Again!" in order to start a new game and I received the "lower priority queue" message. I did not AFK or abandon the prior game. Rito plz

  1. Join game
  2. League server refuses connection giving an error message
  3. Finish game and click "Play Again!"
  4. Receive 5:00 minute penalty without having done the described, offending actions

Now that this "lower priority queue" is a 5 matches penalty, inappropriately punishing non-offenders is a BIG ISSUE. So, is this a bug-worthy report, undue but intended punishment, or am I missing something?

P.S. I love the new attempts to stifle leavers, afks, etc, but with enhanced punishment comes the need for enhanced evaluation. Plz don't punish non-offenders Riot!
