Amumu's Q doesnt stun
Amumu's Q doesnt stun the opponent, just makes him unable to move. I played against a rengar and everytime I stunned him with my Q he could attack me but not move.

The stun is only one second. A max range Q takes about that long to travel to the champ that is hit by the Q. By the time you get there, the stun is over, or nearly over.
You can buffer actions. Like if you're tristana and w as you get hooked, you will still get away. Same with ezreal to blitz hooks and everyone. Most likely they already buffered the q.
