[CLIENT] Can't click a champion with a couple seconds left to lock

Just as the title says, not too complicated. I was in lobby just now, first pick on the 2nd team to pick, and I was waiting for someone on my team to tell me what to pick so I could swap with him. With about 2 seconds on the counter I went to click Jhin, then, clicked "Lock", but for some reason it didn't actually highlight Jhin - and no, I'm sure he wasn't banned. With my second or two left I tried to spam click Jhin but it simply refused to highlight him and I was given a dodge penalty and the lobby was disbanded. Addressing a few obvious concerns: my computer is fast enough that I'm quite confident it wasn't just a hiccup; I've never experienced this before just now; I was not running any 3rd party software that might affect the client.

One possibility is that my computer simply dropped wifi for a couple seconds, which does happen occasionally. If that's not what happened, hopefully this can be addressed quickly as it is very frustrating to get a dodge penalty due to a bug.
